I am very grateful to my lovely fiancé Jason (who hates being photographed), both for helping me set up this lovely new blog, and for allowing me to take his picture. Yes, there is knitting content here-in.
As you can see, Jason is modeling the 2006 edition of the Bucharian Yarmulka. And doesn’t he look stylish ladies? It is knit out of Cascade 220 on size 2 needles.
The grumpy expression there is because he knows he’s being photographed, and is about to be asked a favor as well. Life’s so tough sometimes.
Since I am good 8 inches shorter than he is, I made him take the yarmulka off so that I could get a decent picture of the top and the stitch pattern. I then had to steal the darn thing from him for a good washing and re-blocking.
I suppose that is a sign of a well-loved gift?

Do you have an actual pattern for the kippah? I was hoping to make one for my sons wedding, but can’t find a knitting pattern for this type of kippah.
Thanks,
Sharon
