Much thanks to my darling husband for upgrading me to the new version of WordPress, and in the process breaking the blog. Even more thanks go out to the helpful people at Yahoo tech support, who were able to fix it – when said husband talked them through it because he broke it so badly we couldn’t even access the back end.
It’s nice to be live again!

Filezilla set the permissions on the files as 0700 instead of 0755 when I uploaded it. This for some reason will break Yahoo’s web control panel and ftp access. Yahoo techs just had to set the permissions to 0755 on wordpress and all is fixed.
